A Spectacular Cycling Experience

Organised annually by the Killarney Cycling Club, the Ring of Kerry Cycle follows a circular route of approximately 170 kilometres, taking in coastal roads, rolling countryside and dramatic mountain landscapes.

Cyclists are treated to some of the most breathtaking scenery Ireland has to offer, including sections through Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Cahersiveen, Waterville, Sneem and Moll’s Gap. While the distance presents a rewarding challenge, the day is defined as much by atmosphere and camaraderie as by physical effort.

The event is non-competitive and welcomes cyclists of varying experience levels, with a strong emphasis on enjoyment, community spirit and fundraising for local charities.

Cycling for a Cause

At its core, the Ring of Kerry Cycle is a charitable event. Alongside the personal challenge and sense of achievement, fundraising remains central to the experience.

Over the years, the event has raised more than fifteen million euro for hundreds of charitable causes, reflecting the generosity and commitment of cyclists, organisers, volunteers and local communities throughout Kerry.

A Unique Kerry Tradition

The Ring of Kerry Cycle is more than just a cycling event. It is a celebration of community, resilience and shared purpose. The encouragement from locals, the support stations along the route and the camaraderie among participants create an uplifting atmosphere that stays with cyclists long after the ride is complete.

Whether you are taking part in the full cycle, supporting friends or family, or simply enjoying the buzz around Killarney during the event, it is a memorable occasion that showcases the very best of Kerry hospitality.
